Profile Portuguese composer, b. 1977, has had works performed all over Europe. Recent premieres include Reset (co-production Temps d’Image Festival/Muziektheater Transparant) and Cadaveri (released at Classic Concert Records). With pieces comissioned by portuguese institutions, Mendonça has been performed in music festivals abroad, such as the Gaudeamus Music Week or the Ilios Music Festival. Among the interpreters of his music are the Asko Ensemble, the Nieuw Ensemble and the Remix Ensemble. Winner in 2004 of the Lopes Graça Composition Award, he will be Young Composer in Residence at Casa da Música in 2007.
