George Maievsky's Piece for Solo Violin caused Susanne considerably difficulty, and indeed there were some passages and chords which were literally unplayable
(for example the low C and high G in bar 3). The quality of the hand-written score was also poor particularly later on where notes were crammed in against one another.
Several of the double stops required extremely wide fingering, which was on the edge of possibility.
