Richard is a composer who works with sacred writings of many traditions. He presently writes mostly vocal music, and has often drawn inspiration from the Bahai writings & world music.

Richards projects to date include the hour long Myriads (2001) which weaves Persian & Arabic chant, SATB choir, harp, prepared piano, percussion & Tibetan prayer bowls, the cd Seed (2010) - 12 settings of Bahai prayers and writings, & The Guaymi Dawn Song (2012) commissioned for collaboration with Northamptonshire's hospital & outreach students.
