The Brixworth Music Festival, England, is delighted to announce a third international competition for women composers. We are looking for a work for solo organ with a duration of 6-8 minutes. The work should in some way reflect on and celebrate the music of Isabella Leonarda (1620-1704), in commemoration of her 400th anniversary. The competition is open to any female composer of any nationality and there is no age limit for entrants. For information and specification of the organ please go to the Friends of All Saints Church website. The following prizes will be awarded: First prize: £1,000 Honourable Mention The prize-winning work will be played by Ian Clarke at the next Brixworth Music Festival during a lunchtime concert on 10th May 2020. Conditions of entry • Only one work may be entered. • The entered work may not have previously been performed or published. • Performance material must be supplied by the prize-winner. • Any instructions should be in English.
