Details: Successful submissions will be performed in JAM’s 2020 launch concert at St Bride’s Church, Fleet Street, London on 19th March 2020. The concert will be professionally recorded to help you promote your work.

2020 marks JAM’s 20th anniversary of commissioning music and inviting composers to submit music to it. Annually JAM has commissioned significant works by inspirational UK composers and received submissions well into the thousands, committed to nurturing the future of new music in this country. JAM continues to be committed to nurturing talent through its annual Call for Music, resulting in publisher signings, commissions, repeat performances and media coverage.

Submit music for choir, brass quintet and organ, or any combination of these forces.

Anyone aged 18 or over may submit music if they are born, living or studying in the UK.

A maximum time limit of 10 minutes is stipulated. There is no minimum limit – a short fanfare is as relevant as a large piece for all the forces.

All scores must be submitted on paper.

All music must be accompanied by a recording, preferably MP3.
The audio version does not have to be of great quality – a sequenced / Sibelius version is acceptable. The recording will only be used as a ‘reference’ during the selection process.

If setting words, any text is encouraged – not just liturgical.

Please have the appropriate copyright for any words that are set. JAM cannot perform pieces that don’t have this copyright.

Please do not submit more than 3 pieces. Ideally send us your best piece; the one you really want us to see and perform.

JAM cannot return music that is submitted. Always keep a copy!
