Details:	NOTICE OF COMPETITION FOR COMPOSERS INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION "BRUNO SERRI" FOR ACCORDION AND ACCORDION COMPOSITION 2nd Edition 2017 - 13/14/15/16 July The SALOTTO CULTURALE AGGAZZOTTI a.p.s in collaboration with S.A.I UNIVERSITY for Philosophy and Science of Music - sez. CONTEMPORARY FOYERS - announces, for the year 2017, an International Competition for Accordian and Music Composition for Accordion aimed at the memory of the great accordionist and musician Maestro Bruno Serri. To the competition may be admitted Italian and foreign composers of any nationality and citizenship with no age limits. Composers do not require specific curricular qualifications. Candidates may choose to participate in the following categories: 1. COMPOSERS WITH TIME REQUIREMENT Each composer may participate with more compositions. You do not need anonymity. The composition must have a minimum duration of 3 'and a maximum of 8'. The composition must be sent in PDF and audio files (also MIDI) together with proof of registration and payment together with the application form (found in the latter part of this announcement) The compositions and audio files must be postmarked by the 4th of July 2017 via email to concorsobrunoserri@gmail.com The commission of judges will meet on a day to be defined between 5th and 7th of July, to select the 10 final candidates. After the 8th of July the names of the 10 finalists will be announced; finalists must be present to perform in Serramazzoni (Modena), at Culture Della Sala, Via Roma 293 on the 13th of July. The selection will be public. The compositions must be performed by the composer himself or by a person delegated on the 13th of July from 9.30 to 13.30 The judges will identify three finalists who will perform in the gala of the winners on July 16 in Piazza Tasso in Serramazzoni or, in case of bad weather, at Sala della Cultura Hall, Via Roma 293, Serramazzoni at 21.00 The entry fee is � 30.00 (thirty euros) for the first score and � 20,00 (twenty euros) for each subsequent score by the same author. The registration fee is non-refundable except in case the competition is cancelled. For any particular requirement competitors are invited to get in touch with the secretary of the competition by writing to concorsobrunoserri@gmail.com The following prizes will be awarded: 1st prize � 700 2nd prize � 450 3rd prize � 300 The prizes quoted are inclusive of taxes and fees. In case of a tie awards the prizes will be divided among competitors The jury reserves the right not to award one or more prizes if it believes that certain works have not an adequate artistic level. The jury's decisions are final. 2. COMPOSERS ONLINE Each composer may participate with more compositions. You do not need anonymity. The composition must have a minimum duration of 3 'and a maximum of 8'. The composition must be sent in PDF and audio files, (no MIDI) together with proof of registration and payment together with the application form (found in the latter part of this announcement) The compositions and audio files must be postmarked by the 4th of July 2017 via email to concorsobrunoserri@gmail.com. Audio files must be accompanied by a statement of the performer which allows the public performance of the composition. The commission of judges will meet on a day to be defined between the 5th and 7th of July, to select 3 finalists. The 3 winners will participate virtually in the Gala of the Winners, where participants will listen to the compositions files. The entry fee is � 30.00 (thirty euros) for the first score and � 20,00 (twenty euros) for each subsequent score if by the same author.
