Details:	Hail, Composers and Arrangers! The 150th anniversary of the birth of the renowned slightly Scottish phonometrographer, gymnopedist and dandy Erik Satie is impending. To this point, I’ve arranged a slot in a salon of sorts in central Edinburgh to celebrate this sesquicentennial and a collection of able-bodied musicians to furnish it for Tuesday 17th May 2016. They need some notes. So we’re looking for micro-scores and micro-arrangements to entertain said musicians. This is a call for little segments of music inspired by or directly adapted from the sound-world, thought-space or aesthetics of Satie, which will go to form part of a musical armadillo for the evening - Perhaps you could write one half of a Gnossienne, one third of a Embryo or a quark of a Vexation. The Players • Flute • Violin • Clarinet (Bb or Eb) or Soprano Saxophone • Oboe or Cor Anglais • Bassoon Please write for three or more of these players.
