Summary:Chamber Ensemble Competition

Details: Prize:
-Latitude 49 will provide travel from a U.S. city and accommodations for a 2016-2017 season performance of the winners piece, as well as a high quality professional audio and video recording of the winner’s piece.
-Up to three honorable mentions will receive recordings of a reading of their piece, as well as possible programming during the 2016-2017 season. Programming additional pieces beyond honorable mentions may occur.
-All composer submissions will receive written ensemble feedback.

Ensemble Instrumentation:
-Violin, Cello, Saxophone (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Baritone), Clarinet (B-Flat, A, C, E-Flat, and Bass), Piano, Percussion (Click HERE for full list of percussion gear available to our percussionist. Please fill out the contact form below with any percussion=-specific questions)
-We WILL accept the use of electronics. Please fill out the contact form below with specific electronic media questions.

Guidelines
We will accept subsets of our ensemble, allowing a minimum of four players. However, a strong preference will be given to pieces utilizing all 6 players.
Latitude 49 will accept and encourage submissions of Pierrot ensemble instrumentation, but flute part must be transposed/adapted for saxophone prior to submission. Small adaption details can be worked out post-submission. Contact saxophonist Andy Hall (andy.latitude49@gmail.com) for guidance and suggestions.

Materials for submission:
Please include a headshot (optional but encouraged), CV, and your submission piece including PDF Score and MIDI rendering if applicable. MIDI rendering or prior performance recording is strongly encouraged for optimal review.
