Grammys for Joan Towers, Eighth Blackbird and Lieberson

Joan Tower's Made in America took three of the top classical Grammy categories at the 2008 awards ceremony-
"Best classical Album," "Best Orchestral Performance" and "Best Classical Contemporary Composition."

Chicagos new music ensemble Eighth Blackbird took the Best Chamber Music Performance for "Strange Imaginary Animals" and Peter Liebersons Neruda Songs, sung by his wife, the late Lorraine Hunt Lieberson won Best Classical Vocal Performance .
