John Jacob Weinzweig, "dean" of Canadian music dies
John Jacob Weinzweig, composer and mentor to many of Canada's finest composers has died, aged 93.The Canadian Music Center said "He profoundly influenced generations of composers and musicians who collectively shaped the character of contemporary music in Canada."
