Profile Christopher Hopkins is a composer, performer, and researcher. His special interests are dialectics of historical musical styles, electroacoustic music, and the integration of composition, instrument design, and graphical notation (including 3D haptic virtual reality). He performs Renaissance and Baroque music for the viola da gamba. He is Director of the Center for Excellence in the Arts and Humanities and Associate Professor of Music at Iowa State University of Science and Technology.
