Profile Graduated with honors in composition with Michele Serra and Francesco Carluccio at the Conservatorio "G.B. Martini" in Bologna followed by a course in Electronic Music and Sound Design, I have studied at Chigiana Academy with Salvatore Sciarrino. I have attended master classes and workshops with internationally renowned composers such as Luca Francesconi, Beat Furrer, Peter Eötvös, Pierluigi Billone, Bernard Fort and Toivo Tulev. In 2010/2011, I was a guest student at the Musikhögskolan Malmö.
As a composer, I have been part of the musical and artistic group “ZeroCrediti” in Bologna, for which I have written compositions for the production of several performances of musical theater since 2011, such as Tempo di Madrigale – Variazioni sul “Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda” di Claudio Monteverdi (Pinacoteca Nazionale di Bologna, novembre 2011 e maggio 2012), Ich bin mein Stil (Sala Borsa di Bologna, aprile 2012 e MAMbo di Bologna, ottobre 2012) e Credito Italiano Verdi (Teatro Comunale di Ferrara, maggio 2013; Teatro Valli di Reggio Emilia, settembre 2013). I am part of the "Concordanze" association in Bologna for which I write original pieces and rielaboration of classical pieces since 2008. Fascinated by the theatre, I write music for dramatic performances.
In 2009 and 2012, I was awarded the 10th and the 13th edition of the "Felice e Luigi Magone" Prize for Composition and in 2011, I won the scholarship "Fondazione Zucchelli" for the composition section at the Bologna Conservatory. Awarded in international composition competitions "Rosolino Toscano" 3th edition, 2012 with "Tohokami" for double bass, dedicated to bass player Emiliano Amadori and "Le forme del suono" premio Ottorino Respighi, 2nd edition, 2013 with "Oniricum (col suono e la danza)" for accordion. The work “Saigyō no kisetsu” received the “Mullord” Award at "Musique sans frontières"
2014, London. My “Solo`s Collection” won the 1st Prize at the “Look & Listen Composition Competition 2014” and was premiered at “Invisible Dog Art Center” in Brooklyn by the violinist Min-Young Kim, the cellist Thomas Kraines both musicians of the “Daedalus Quartet”, accompanied by the accordionist William Schimmel.
My compositions have also been performed in national and international concerts and festivals, such as "The Schoenberg Experience" (2012), “Look and Listen Festival 2014”, Mise-en Music Festival 2015 and are edited by Bèrben Edition.
I have taught Theory, Harmony and Composition at the “Libero Conservatorio J. Du Pre” in Spilamberto, Modena and Music Theory at the Ististuto Comprensivo E.De Amicis in Anzola dell`Emilia, Bologna.
I am also an Aikido and Meditation practitioner at A.S.I.A. in Bologna with Franco Bertossa, since 2006.
Since I was very young, I am an accordion player, studying at the C.D.M.I. and distinguishing myself in several national and international accordion competitions. I did several performances with the accordion orchestra and quintet “Città di Rossano” under conduction of Paolo Gallina and collaborated with Karakasa Circus in the performance “Casa dolce casa” by Marcello Chiarenza and with other theatrical companies as “Officina dei tratti”. I am engaged in concerts and, currently, conduct research of compositions, revisions and transcriptions of pieces and songs from classic opera and popular repertoires.
