Profile Pianist, trombonist and composer Daniel Hewson is fast making a name for himself in both the UK and Portugal. He is a multi-talented musician equally at home in classical, jazz and pop music.

"The heartfelt string arrangements of Edge Hill... "(Andy Puleston, BBC)
"The glorious strings that explode from Edge Hill are proof of life..." (Ryan Jones, Dance Music Weekly)
".....driving rhythms punctuate the quartet and quintet which have influences of Bartok and Stravinsky but are resolutely Hewson`s voice with beautiful melodic structures....modern classical music as it should be - challenging yet tuneful. Highly recommended!" (Richard C, London)
"...truly electrifying. I love the way Secret Doors combines elements of jazz with the more `classical` sound" (Peter Bance, Cambridge Review)
"I have just played Daniel`s CD Secret Doors and really enjoyed it. The rhythmic drive was most exciting and he had some catchy melodies." (Anthony J. Sluce, Manchester)
