Profile Glenn Sutherland (Vancouver, B.C.) is a composer of vocal, choral, and instrumental works. Performances of his instrumental and vocal works for different chamber music configurations have taken place in the 2009 and 2012 Sonic Boom festivals, Contemporary Showcase (2012) ,the Erato Ensemble (2012) and the McGregor-Nesselroad-Barnes Trio (2013). His choral compositions have been performed by ensembles in Canada and in Europe, and he has been published by Mayfair Music. His composition instructors include Jocelyn Morlock, Michael Trew, and Lane Price. Glenn serves as Vice President on the Board of the musica intima Society, of which he is also a Past President. When not composing, he is a conservation biologist, and is currently a member of Vancouver Pro Musica and a voting member of the Canadian Music Centre (B.C. Region).
