Profile Byron Au Yong composes works that mix European and Asian influences. Examples include Piao Zhu: Flying Bamboo, Surrender: A T`ai Qi Cantata and YIJU: Songs of Dislocation. His music has been performed at the Jeonju Sanjo Festival in South Korea, the Fukuoka Gendai Hogaku Festival and Tokyo Art Museum in Japan, and the Hochschule fur Musik und Theater Hamburg in Germany.
