Spiros Deligiannopoulos - Composer  
 


Born in Zakynthos, Greece, Spiros Deligiannopoulos studied Musicology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki,Music Theory and Piano at the Contemporary Conservatorium and later at the State Music Academy of Thessaloniki, Composition at Goldsmiths - University of London (MMus in Composition) and at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (PhD in Composition). He is active in Greece as composer, musicologist and pianist.


As a pianist: more than 500 public appearances (mainly in Greece) including collaborations with various chamber music ensembles, individual artists, choruses and orchestras.

As a composer: works presented to the main Greek concert halls (The Athens Music Music Hall “Megaron”, Universities of Athens – Thessaloniki and Patras concert Halls, Theocharakis Foundation of Arts concert hall) and abroad (U.K.. Germany, Italy, Malta, Russia, Israel e.t.c.)

As a musicologist: more than 400 program notes for The Athens Music Hall, The Athens Festival, The Athens Lyrical Scene. Participation to various conferences.
