Another chance to hear Beville's Prelude, Etude & Fantasie (2012) in a recital that explores the 'free-fantasy' form for piano and its historical influence from the 18th and 19th centuries to the present day. The programme includes such celebrated 'quasi una fantasia' compositions as Beethoven's 'Moonlight' and Liszt's 'Dante' sonatas.

This programme, centred on the artistry of renowned oboist Nicholas Daniel, features a new work by Brian Elias co-commissioned by Wigmore Hall and Britten Sinfonia, together with Finzi’s intimate yet cinematic Interlude and Mozart’s String Quintet in C minor, in which the oboe takes the role of first violin.

A classically-trained composer, arranger and violinist, Fiona Brice is in demand as one of Britain’s most versatile and adventurous collaborators. Her credits as an orchestrator stretch thirty studio albums from the likes of Placebo, Ed Harcourt, Kate Nash, Sandy Dillon and John Grant, whilst performing alongside some of the world’s most prominent musicians, including Kanye West, Jay Z, Beyoncé, Meatloaf, Katherine Jenkins, Gorrillaz and Robbie Williams. As an artist, she is signed to Bella Union records and in 2016 released her debut instrumental album Postcards From.
