Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 7.30pm Adams. Barber, Schubert Queens Hall Edinburgh Scotland 0131 668 2019 http://www.thequeenshall.net
Karina Canellakis: conductor; Benjamin Beilman: violin
Never one to settle for obvious titles to his orchestral works, America’s greatest living composer revisits the dizzying territory of his original Chamber Symphony in typically febrile style. Barber’s Violin Concerto offers a lyrical contrast in the hands of 26-year-old compatriot Benjamin Beilman. Expect a more relaxed style in Schubert’s sunny Fifth Symphony under the guidance of Karina Canellakis, winner of the 2016 Sir Georg Solti Conducting Award.
PERFORMER INSIGHTS: 6.30pm Karina Canellakis introduces the evening’s concert in conversation with Sub-Principal Bassoon Alison Green.
John Adams : Son of Chamber Symphony Samuel Barber : Violin Concerto Franz Schubert : Symphony No 5

Join the BBC Singers and Chief Conductor David Hill for a short concert of festive new music at the BBC Maida Vale Studios, as they perform the six brand new Christmas carols shortlisted in the 2017 BBC Radio 3 Carol Competition.
Launched in August, the competition challenged amateur composers from across the country to create a 21st-century carol for a 15th-century text: Sir Christemas.
The six finalists whose works you will hear in this short afternoon performance were all selected by a team of expert judges, including Judith Weir, Master of the Queen's Music, and David Hill, Chief Conductor of the BBC Singers.

There is an opinion that exactly this product of the pharmaceutical company Ajanta can change the life of a weak man for the better. As long as you doubt, the more daring contenders are already passing the first test. Reviews about Kamagra are the most positive. The drug of this kind is harmless, strong in action and has a lasting effect.
