Melodia Women’s Choir led by Cynthia Powell, Taisiya Pushkar (piano), and an all-female chamber orchestra.


Celebrating 15 seasons of bringing women's choral music to the world with a spring program featuring a joyful all-American program of works, including the rarely heard "Harmony of Morning" from Elliott Carter, the U.S. premiere of "A Brighter Garden," by Paul Halley, as well as an encore performance of an original Melodia commission.

Set to poetry by Mark van Doren, "The Harmony of Morning" explores the language of nature and music as the purest forms of communication. It is an ode to the beauty and joy of the natural world and a perfect way to herald the spring.
