Illuminate concerts shine light on the work of women composers and performers from the past and present. The concerts will premiere and give multiple performances of works by living composers - Angela Elizabeth Slater, Gemma McGregor, Blair Boyd, Sarah Westwood and Carol J Jones. These works have been written for performers Cassie Mathews (classical guitar), Sabina Virtosu (violin), Késia Decoté (piano) and Gemma McGregor (flute and shakuhachi). These new works will be programmed alongside a wonderful array of repertoire from historical composers such as Morfydd Owen, Amy beach, Louise Marie Simon, Lili Boulanger and more.
