Crawford Logan actor Hailing from Scotland, like Sally Beamish herself, the outstanding Red Note Ensemble comes to Cheltenham with a 60th birthday tribute to this ever-distinctive composer. The Sins is a semi-theatrical work for actor and ensemble, taking as its starting point a new translation by Phil Hind of the ‘seven deadly sins’ section from Langland’s 14th century narrative poem Piers Plowman. Modern and medieval allegories merge powerfully with Beamish’s own emotionally vivid language.
