Górecki’s Symphony No. 3, also known as Symphony of Sorrowful Songs, is recognised as one of the most affecting and spellbinding works of the late 20th century. Inspired by stories of children separated from their families during World War II, the piece premiered in 1977 and – since its release by Nonesuch in 1992 – it has become one of the biggest classical music sellers of all time.Steve Reich : Electric Counterpoint Jonny Greenwood : There Will Be Blood Suite Henryk Gorecki : Symphony no. 3
