Five years after "Hypermusic Prologue", Hector Parra presents his second work for stage in this collaboration with Marie NDiaye.
"I have written novels, several plays, children's books, and a screenplay, but never a text for an opera. This isn’t a test, but a renewal of my practice of writing, of inscribing, and trying to use this practice in a new format for me, that of a monologue that can not be heard, perhaps not even understood, without music. This is not narration or poetry, but a combination of fiction and lyricism. This is a woman who expresses herself, who talks about fundamental events of her existence: being a girl and a mother, coming from a region, from a country, belonging to the human community, being a part of men and yet being a woman, always distinctive."
