Flutist Immanuel Davis is joined by some of New York's finest musicians in a recital that features the flute in a variety of settings and styles. Enjoy new and rarely performed works that span the 20th and 21st centuries and represent composers from around the world. Piano aficionados will want to hear the NY premiere of Nikolai Kapustin's jazz-influenced sonata for flute and piano, specifically written for Immanuel Davis and Stephen Gosling. Also featured on the program are the new sounds of Kenji Bunch and Carl Vine, and two intriguing works for flute and strings by Villa-Lobos and Erwin Schulhoff.
