Dante String Quartet
Soloists: Sally Silver, soprano; Krysia Osostowicz, violin

The renowned Dante perform a wide-ranging repertoire in celebration of the seventieth birthday of composer Naresh Sohal. Sohal was one of the 'enfant terribles' of the twentieth century music scene in Britain. He continues to work apace. As well as a world premiere, this concert includes one of his more unusual works: 'Three Songs from Gitanjali', a setting of works by Tagore requires the soprano to sing in Bengali.
