New York– The International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE) continues its ICETank series with a concert of solo and accompanied harp at The Tank, featuring founding ICE harpist Bridget Kibbey with special guest, ICE flutist Claire Chase.
In addition to contemporary classics from Elliott Carter, Toru Takemitsu, and Ivan Fedele, Ms. Kibbey’s program will feature new pieces from young compositional talents David Bruce and Kati Agocs, both of whom took the risk of writing their first solo works for the harp. The result is two brilliant works for this unique instrument. The compositions from Agocs and Carter are featured on Kibbey’s self-released solo album Love is Come Again, which was named "One of the Top Ten Albums of 2007" by Time Out New York.
