8 shortlisted composers will experience their 3-4 minute pieces performed by London Chamber Orchestra musicians in a workshop directed by LCO Composer in Residence Graham Fitkin, conducted by Gregory Rose and recorded by studying tonmeister Stewart Holmes.

The workshop will present an opportunity to meet and hear the work of student composers from around the UK, in addition to sharing a detailed exploration of their music with composer Graham Fitkin, conductor Gregory Rose and LCO musicians. The workshop will offer a chance to discuss musical composition with fellow composers and those at the top of their game.

At the end of the workshop 4 compositions will be selected for the final round performance in LCO’s residency at St. John’s, Smith Square as a pre-concert event from 6pm – 6.45pm on Wednesday 21st May.
