BCMG Up Close
The Memorial Hall Old Street, Upton upon Severn United Kingdom 01684 593465 A trio of trios, for what is perhaps the most tender instrumentation of flute, viola and harp. Debussy’s sonata was an inspiration to young Austrian composer Johannes Maria Staud, writing his Sydenham Music last year, inspired also by a painting of the eponymous London suburb by Camille Pissarro. It follows a gem by the late, great Japanese composer Toru Takemitsu.
The performance lasts around 1 hour – then stay and meet the performers.
BCMG Up Close Events are a series of FREE hour long performances in Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire, which lead to a full evening concert in June.
