BCMG Up Close

Bedstone & Hopton Castle Village Hall
United Kingdom
01547 530282

A trio of trios, for what is perhaps the most tender instrumentation of flute, viola and harp. Debussy’s sonata was an inspiration to young Austrian composer Johannes Maria Staud, writing his Sydenham Music last year, inspired also by a painting of the eponymous London suburb by Camille Pissarro. It follows a gem by the late, great Japanese composer Toru Takemitsu.

The performance lasts around 1 hour – then stay and meet the performers.

BCMG Up Close Events are a series of FREE hour long performances in Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire, which lead to a full evening concert in June.

BCMG is one of the world’s leading classical new music ensembles and was formed by players from the CBSO. The group is devoted to the performance of new music and has commissioned and performed over 100 world premieres of new works by today’s leading composers. Please visit for more information.
