BCMG Up Close
The Edge Arts Centre Farley Road, Much Wenlock United Kingdom 01952 728509 Combining live performers with electronic sound has given composers dazzling new soundworlds to explore. Jonathan Harvey’s tribute to Messiaen multiplies one piano into twenty, Tristan Murail draws intense colours from his five players with a halo of subtly transformed sound. Finally, young composer Tansy Davies roughs up her set of colliding dances with a funky electronic counterpoint.
The performance lasts around 1 hour – then stay and meet composer Tansy Davies and the performers
