BCMG Insight Event - Rehearsal run-through: Gerald Barry/Thomas Adès
CBSO Centre, Birmingham Berkley Street, Birmingham United Kingdom On the eve of presenting the work at Carnegie Hall, New York, BCMG gives an open 'rehearsal run-through' of Gerald Barry's thrilling The Triumph of Beauty and Deceit - conducted by Thomas Adès and with singers Andrew Watts (Pleasure), William Purefoy (Truth), Christopher Lemmings (Beauty), Roderick Williams (Deceit) and Stephen Richardson (Time). A hit last year in Birmingham and Paris, hear it again or see what you missed!
The event will last just over an hour, with refreshments available at the CBSO Centre bar from 5.30pm – c.7.45pm
BCMG is one of the world’s leading classical new music ensembles and was formed by players from the CBSO. The group is devoted to the performance of new music and has commissioned and performed over 100 world premieres of new works by today’s leading composers.
