Sarah O’Halloran’s the-s-word (for vocalist, live electronics, and tape) will be performed by the composer at Sonorities 2007 on April 21st at 1.15pm in the Sonic Lab, SARC, Belfast. The performance will feature video by Robin Price.More information on Sonorities 2007 is available from http://www.qub.ac.uk/sonorities/2007. Sarah’s music has recently been performed by orkest de ereprijs at the International Young Composers Meetin in The Netherlands, at the Women in Contemporary Music Festival in California, and in New York by the SEM Ensemble and the New York Miniaturist Ensemble. Two of her tape pieces were included on Cork Art Trails recent release ‘Bend it Like Beckett’, a collection of sonic tributes to Samuel Beckett.
