Programmed by: JOHN WOOLRICH
Film-maker/Director: TIM HOPKINS

BCMG

In this completely new and pioneering venture for BCMG, young people will be introduced to the exciting world of contemporary music. Elements of film and theatre will interweave with the music, taking the young people on a rollercoaster ride through a colourful, dynamic and theatrical programme, from the mechanical and rhythmic music of Louis Andressien's Workers Union to the crazy and unique Black Page by Frank Zappa. At the heart of the concert will be a new piece, specially commissioned for the occasion, by BCMG's Artist-in-Association John Woolrich. Much care and attention will be taken to make this introduction to contemporary music and to concert-going a fantastic experience for the young audience.

Best suited to children aged 8-11. Performances at 11am and 2pm last around 1 hour.
