Colin Matthews has delighted Hallé audiences with his new take on Debussy's Preludes. His recent intriguing orchestral piece Reflected Images, written for San Francisco and receiving its UK premiere tonight, suggests elusive ways of seeing the same image, 'almost as if what is being looked at is seen out of the corner of the eye'.
