Description
This musical miniature was composed via a system of composition called soggetto cavato. The basic principle behind the system is to give each letter of the alphabet a pitch equivalent and to therefore extrapolate music out of a name. The rhythms, meters and tempos were derived creatively from the inherent movement found within the pitch sequences and thereby serve to illuminate further, the music inside the name!
