Description
This pair of bagatelles came about as the result of a regular whistling routine I have had with my wife’s budgie ‘Beady?over the last 5 or 6 years. While whistling to Beady in the morning or after work, I found that I would keep returning to a few enjoyable themes. This led me to develop these motives and expand them into a whimsical and fun song form, the bagatelle.
Both pieces are in user-friendly key and time signatures and employ a comfortable tessitura for the intermediate level player. The music is jovial in character and would be well suited for the development of the aspiring recorder player or flautist.
