Description
This setting of the popular hymn tune “Open My Eyes That I May See” is a theme and variations in three verses, scored for French Horn, Piano, and Clarinet. Clarinet picks up the main melody, following a short piano introduction. Then the horn takes the melody over, while the clarinet plays swift scale patterns. In the final variation both horn and clarinet play the melody in different octaves. This piece is perfect for church services, any church pianist could play it because the piano part is the straight hymn.
