Description
Three Michelangelo Pieces are for piano, electronics and tape. They are entitled 'The Rebellious Slave', 'The Awakening Slave' and 'Atlas' after the unfinsihed statues by Michelangelo. A performance requires a computer, a CD or DAT player, and 6-8 loudspeakers.
'The Awakening Slave' and 'Atlas' were first performed with the composer at the piano, and electronic realisation by Thomas Troge at the ZKM Kubus, Karlsruhe 02/2003. The complete set was premiered by Ulrich Murtfeld, with electronic realisation by the composer, Herr Saal, 07/2004.
