Description
fl, ob, mar, hrp, pno, string trio, 8'30" ~ when I found out that a friend from high school was found dead (drowned in shallow water in Mexico), I bawled, and knew I had to write a piece. This is another neo-impressionistic work which outlines the incident, then outlines a funereal scene. In the end, it will include a fugue. Luis Pagan was an amazingly wonderful, gay man, who was my silent hero. He taught me to not be afraid of what others think of me, and showed me how to be good at doing it. He also did so much work for the Providence community, including starting an AIDS awareness class with the group Youth in Action. His loss is truly a tradgedy.
