Hans Abrahamsen was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, on December 23rd, 1952.

His also part of a trend that is called 'New Simplicity' that became popular in the mid 60s, but his music contains a surrealist tendency which, like an Escher drawing suprises the listener with its unexpected sense of proportion.
