Details: Call for violin solo scores for Wyoming Festival Concerts and Recording Project:
Due to construction upgrades at the UW-NPS Research Station where we host the Wyoming Festival, we are having a call for scores for solo violin in lieu of the normal composer residency. Chosen compositions will either be:

• Performed at future concerts
• Professionally recorded by Wyoming Festival Music Director, Holly Mulcahy (hollymulcahy.com)
• Or performed at future concerts, and recorded.

Eligibility: Composers of all ages, races, genders, nationalities, and experience levels. We encourage women and gender nb composers. Past Wyoming Festival Composer Fellows and Composers-in-Residence are welcome to submit their works.

Theme: In keeping with the spirit of the Wyoming Festival, works submitted should be on the theme of science, nature, and ecology, of Grand Teton National Park as well as the flora/fauna and/or history/culture of the Teton region and the American West. We are open to a broad or a specific approach, but pieces must adhere to the theme in some way. (Pieces need not be world premieres.)

Performances: A variety of concerts and settings in Wyoming and elsewhere, with repeat performance potential.

Recording Project: If chosen for the recording project, composers will retain all rights, but give us permission to include the work on an album.

Deadline for score submission: July 28, 2019

Duration: circa 3-5 minutes

Entry Fee: $7-20, sliding scale

1. Composer name and email address
2. Composer short bio (200 words or less)
3. Composer pronouns
4. Piece title (and movement titles)
5. Program notes (if not clear from notes, the relevance to theme)
6. Pdf of score
7. Recording, if available (midi or live recordings, .mp3 format best - links to Soundcloud and other sites are acceptable.)
8. Fee ($7-20 sliding scale) to be paid here anytime between July 1 and July 28, 2019: https://uwnps.org (click on the pay button and then the Wyoming Festival button.)
