SEEKING MUSIC STUDENTS TO VOLUNTEER FOR SINGING AND SONG-WRITING PROJECT FOR PEOPLE WITH DEMENTIA AND THEIR CARERS IN GLOUCESTER

We are looking for local student musicians to volunteer on Turtle Song in Gloucester. Turtle Song is a singing & song-writing project for people with dementia & all forms of memory problems and their husbands/wives/partners/family/carers. It is a partnership project with English Touring Opera, Royal College of Music, Mindsong & the Three Choirs Festival. Composer, Richard Barnard & Director, Claire Coaché, will work with the participants & volunteer musicians to create a song cycle.

PROJECT DATES: 21 May - TRAINING SESSION. 28 May / 4, 11, 18, 25 June / 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 July (The 30 July will be a short sharing for friends & family and will feature in the Three Choirs Festival programme)
TIME: 10.30am-12.15pm (Volunteer musicians will be required from 9.30/10am until 1pm to help with set-up and clear up)
VENUE: St Mary’s Congregational Chapel, Gloucester
