Details: Sacra Nova Cathedrale is an acapella vocal ensemble that utilizes various voice ranges from any combination of the vocal categories (SATB). The ensemble focuses to primarily premiere original sacred works written by composers.

We are currently seeking original compositions to premiere for our upcoming concert, For the Beauty of the Earth, to be held at The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist on Sunday, April 28, 2019, from 3-4 p.m. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. The concert will feature new works and works "new to the ear". Works that have already been written or that have been premiered will also be considered for this concert.

Themes one may consider: Easter time; creation; springtime.

Composers are encouraged to attend the concert but are not required to do so.


Guidelines for submitting a composition:

***Composers must submit 1 work at a time via email for consideration and must pay an accompanying fee of $10.00 USD via PayPal for each work submitted.

***Submitted compositions may include any combination of the vocal categories (SATB). Compositions may also include organ and/or piano accompaniment for this concert.

b) Attach the following to the email:

1 PDF file of the complete work
(optional) 1 MP3 recording of the work (recorded performances or midi realizations are acceptable)

c) Send the email to:

Title the email the title of your submitted composition

d) No submissions are valid until payment has been collected after the email has been sent.

Submission deadline (for email and accompanying payment): April 7, 2019 at midnight CST (central standard time)

Winning composers will be notified by email on April 8, 2019.
