Eligibility
1) Applicants should be composers at the early stages of their professional careers.
2) Composers, regardless of nationality, are encouraged to apply.
3) Composers 35 and younger at the end of the competition year are eligible (born after 1 January 1984).
4) Scores that have been awarded, or commercially recorded are not eligible.
5) Past winners of the competition are ineligible to apply.
6) Any alteration of the score may be permitted under the guidance of master composers during the week of the festival.
7) The submitted work should be between 6‐10 minutes in length.
8) Submitted works for the Prize can include any combination from the following instrumentation: 2 violins, viola, cello and piano.
9) Only compositions written within the last five years are eligible for submission.
10) One entry per applicant will be accepted

Submissions
1. Links to PDFs of score, Works with electronics are eligible.
2. Links to MP3 files (audio recording, if available, Midi realization)
3. Curriculum vitae or resume and bio (include: mailing address, telephone number, educational background, schools, teachers, degrees, awards, prizes, previous festivals attended, and any relevant performances and/or professional experience).
4. Current address, telephone number, e‐mail address, bio (200 words), program note (200 words) & performance history of the submitted work(s).

**PDF, audio, or video files should be uploaded to platforms such as YouTube, Dropbox, Megaupload, etc., or on any personal hosting space. Your materials must be available at the provided URL until at least 10 August 2019.
***Works involving electronics are eligible for performance. If selected, TICF will provide basic equipment for stereo diffusion, including speakers. Composers using electronics will be expected to bring a laptop, an audio interface, cables, and microphones if necessary, along with all necessary software, and any equipment needed beyond this support, and to run their own patch/software with the technical assistance of one faculty or staff member.

DEADLINE: 1 April 2019 (no later than 23.59 Thailand local time.). Please host your files on Dropbox or another file sharing service so that they are available through August 2019.

SELECTION PROCESS: Applicants will be notified of their acceptance by 3 May 2019. Should you be admitted, you must be prepared to submit parts of existing works electronically within *14 days* of the notification of acceptance. The composition program will accept a limited number of participants and auditors. All conditions of participation will be specified at the time of notification of acceptance, including the piece selected for performance. Any questions may be directed to: ticfinfo@gmail.com

AWARD
An honorarium of 1,500 USD will be awarded to the winner of the competition. All six finalists will be invited to participate in the Thailand International Composition Festival. The Thailand International Composition Festival will provide full accommodation including Hotel room, meals, and local transportation for all finalists. Travel expenses to TICF and other arrangements are the responsibility of the participant.
Six finalists will be announced no later than 3 May 2019.

The Winner will be announced during the Final concert of TICF 2019 on Saturday, 10 August 2019.
