Festival DME - Dias de Música Electroacústica - is organizing an international electroacoustic composition masterclass in Lisbon with Åke Parmerud. It will take place from September 17th to the 21st at Lisboa Incomum. Composers of any age and nationality are invited to apply. Composers will have the opportunity to have: - Lessons with Åke Parmerud. - A premiere of a new piece to be worked on during the workshop or the presentation of an already existing electroacoustic work. - Free attendance to concerts and lectures that will be organised during the week of the masterclass. The tuition fee is €120. The language of the masterclass is English. The participants are responsible for their travel and accommodation costs. It is also possible to attend the masterclass as passive student. The tuition fee is €80. To submit an application, please send an email to diasdemusicaelectroacustica@gmail.com. Please include: - Name, Surname - Date of birth - Country of residence (+ country of origin, if differs) - Mobile phone number - Desired format for participation in the master classes (active/passive student or not decided) - Short bio or CV - 1-3 recent compositions. There is a preference for works involving electronics. Purely instrumental works are accepted but include at least one work that involves electronics. Please provide downloadable links to recordings and scores in PDF (if available). - Current photo - Indicate whether you would want to write a new composition for the masterclasses Lisboa Incomum provides a system with 16 loudspeakers + subwoofer. Works that also involve video and live electronics are accepted. Deadline for submission: August 19, 2018 Composers will be notified by August 22, 2018.
