Details: Since its successful launching in 2017, Arts Incubator proudly launches our second Incubating project in November 2018.

There is no application fee, but the program has a participation fee.

What is Incubating Project?

Incubating Project is a semi-residency program, which aims to be an experimental platform for diversifying and activating new music, giving an opportunity for various artists to collaborate and develop their works.

Where and when the program will be held?

Incubating program will be held on November 19-24, 2018 sponsored by ‘Culture Tank’. The ‘Culture Tank’ was an old oil tank, industrial heritage site that had been inaccessible for 41 years. Through Seoul city’s urban regeneration in 2017, it became a multicultural venue for the arists and audience.

With whom will collaborate with?

‘ENSEMBLE MISE-EN’ is a New York-based contemporary music collective led by composer Moon Young HA. As a collective, the multi-national personnel has coalesced around a real aesthetic agenda, crystallized in the name mise-en: “mee”, in Korean, means “beauty”, and “zahn”, “to decorate”, and the group unabashedly promotes “beautiful” artwork to increasingly diverse audiences of contemporary sounds.

Instrumentation: Flute(doubling picc/alto/bass), Clarinet(doubling bass), Piano, Percussion(the instrument list TBA), Violin ,Cello, Electronics

What kinds of benefits does the program provide?

4 days of collaborate program with the ensemble. Including 3 rehearsals and premiere concert in Seoul.
Audio & Video documentation of concert.
Open Seminar with participainting artists.
Networking Party with Participants and local Artists.
Free access for every event presented by Arts Incubator in November 2018(New Music Art Market ‘ATM’).

Participant Fees:

There is no application fee, but the program has a participation fee. Participants must bear the costs for travel, accommodation and meals. Participant Fees: $1350

Who can apply, and how?
