From the composer's imagination to the center stage, discover the next generation of young composers as they have their works read and rehearsed for the first time by David Alan Miller and the Albany Symphony. Held annually at the American Music Festival, each young composer will receive in depth coaching from the orchestra's celebrated resident composers. Submissions are now being accepted for the 2018 "First Draughts" Reading Session Open to young and emerging composers nationwide looking to develop and refine their orchestral craft, the Albany Symphony will select three winners to join the orchestra during its annual American Music Festival in June 2018.
