Summary:Film Music Competition

Details: FilmScore 2017 is a unique competition which invites young musicians aged between 14-19 years old to compose an original score for one of a selection of short animated films (10 minute maximum). This year we have specially chosen a selection of animated to films to further challenge and inspire those who might be interested in a potential career in film composition.

In addition, this year we are delighted to be working with Wiltshire Music Centre which will bring a whole new level of exposure and expertise to the competition.

A short-list of finalists will be selected and screened to a panel of professional judges and the public. The winner will receive a fabulous prizes including a work experience day at a film or music company, mentoring, cash prizes and more!

The winner of FilmScore 2017 will receive the fabulous prize of visiting Real World Studios, based in Box, Wiltshire for a half day of mentoring which will include a tour of the studio and an introduction to industry professionals and their craft. Real World Studios is a unique recording facility where artists, producers and engineers come together to focus on making music. It has been the home of many world famous albums and musicians as well as WOMAD and Real World Records. An opportunity not to be missed.
