YCE is pleased to announce its first annual call for scores. Two pieces will be chosen to be performed in Yokohama, Japan, on 1 October 2016. Guidelines Submission deadline is 31 August 2016, 23:59 Japan standard time (14:59 GMT). Composers of any age and nationality are encouraged to submit. Pieces can have been previously performed or recorded. Submitted compositions can be for any combination of the following instruments (1-5 players): soprano voice, flute (alto, picc), clarinet (Eb soprano, Bb, bass), violin, guitar. No other instruments (including electronics) or doublings will be accepted. Maximum length is 8 minutes. Texts for submitted vocal pieces must be in the public domain or, if it is under copyright, the composer must have secured permission to use it. Composers must be able to supply parts immediately upon selection. Submission costs ¥2000 (approximately US$20) for the first score, and ¥1500 (approximately US$15) for each subsequent score. Payments will be accepted only through Paypal. |
