In Collaboration with the Richmond Orchestra Richmond Music Festival is extremely excited to offer a new opportunity to aspiring young composers. We are opening a new class, called Composer’s Challenge this year. Write for a symphony orchestra! Class 6500 Open to ages 16 & under Class 6501 Open to ages 25 & under Maximum scoring: 2 Flutes, 2 Oboes, 2 Clarinets, 2 Bassoons, 4 Horns, 2 Trumpets, 3 Trombones, 1 Tuba, 1 Timpani, First Violins, Second Violins,Violas, Cellos, Double-Basses Please refer to the composition syllabus for further details. The winning compositions will be performed by the Richmond Orchestra on February 25th, 2017 at the Rising Stars Concert. |
